(My late grandfather) Bruno Rachman was an avid stamp collector. This went very well: twice a week came a brand specialist for several hours to glue for stamps in books. Among the brands were also treasures was issued as the Red Mercury, in 1934 Vienna on the WIPA (famous stamp exhibition) with some other stamps.
against short flight from Bohemia there were some valuable stamps on the specs should be established whether they were genuine or not. These were in an envelope, the grandmother was able to take on the flight. The stamps remained undetected and were able to be sold after the escape in the 50's (?). The stamps were valuable. Our grandmother was able to buy them as the still very expensive plane tickets to California to visit her daughter Christa.
My mother Gerda gathered in her youth inspired stamps. (Austria, Bohemia, Czech Republic)
